Ten-week course for women. In our trauma sensitive yoga sessions we use yoga forms as opportunities to notice what we feel in our bodies and to practice making choices about what to do with our bodies. Trauma-sensitive yoga is a way for us to safely experiment with having a body. Through yoga we can experiment with: breathing, moving, strengthening, stretching and, resting. Our classes are set up so that students are in control over what they are doing with their body at all times; the teacher is there to provide safe, professional guidance. Prerequisite: enrollment in therapy. Suggested donation: $300.
Blossom House holds a "stay home and stay warm" policy if it is colder than -25° F. In that event, classes will be cancelled. Likewise, if there is freezing rain or heavy snow in progress, "stay home and stay safe." In the event that an event is cancelled, the facilitator will contact all participants to let them know. Barring emergencies or sudden inclement weather, at least 24-hours advanced notice will be provided. Any prepaid class that is cancelled will result in either rescheduling or a refund. Private appointments may be cancelled by clients without charge up to 24 hours before the appointment by contacting their individual facilitator directly.
